Early Morning at Denver City Park
Denver's City Park is a fantastic place to find that "Chamber of Commerce Shot" of the city. The park was designed by Henry Meryweather in 1882 and takes design cues from English pastoral gardens, Central Park in New York City, and the City Beautiful movement.
This was taken early morning just after first light at Ferril Lake. On the right is Prismatic Fountain which dates back to 1908. It was quite a revolutionary feature for the time, and now that they have installed an LED light show it is once again one of the more modern features of the park. The boathouse is the building featured in center, where one can even rent a paddle-boat shaped like a pelican!
Have a great holiday weekend ahead all and please be safe!
