Thorns of Plenty
I just love photographing birds up against thorny foliage. Here's a White-crowned Sparrow ( http://www.birds.cornell.edu/AllAboutBirds/BirdGuide/White-crowned_Sparrow.html ) near the visitor center at Bosque del Apache NWR, in New Mexico.
I had a hard time deciding whether I prefer a close crop to highlight the bird, or something wider to show off the thorny habitat. I might post a wide version later.
