Rainforest Night Magic
One of my favorite moments on the Olympic Peninsula was a night hike we did through an old growth Sitka Spruce rainforest down to the beach. Night magic lurks in them there woods!
Image notes: pretty much straight from RAW, not HDR or anything fancy in post. Edit to answer some questions from the comments: White bal was amazingly set to auto. I really expected it to be off in post, but I think the camera nailed it. In terms of a source of light, it was only natural light remaining from the past sunset and twilight. Something about being this far north makes it seem like this light is always lurking to the NW late into the evening. Basically the sky above looked like night to the naked eye but to the very NW coast there was just a slice of not quite black sky still remaining.
