Ammons Hall, Colorado State University
Ammons Hall is one of my favorite buildings at Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. Ammons was constructed in 1921 and once operated as a women's athletic and recreational center, complete with swimming pool. It is known for its high quality of architecture and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.
The illustrated look comes from a mix of blended exposure, sculpture and wyeth in the LucisArt plugin in Photoshop, a mix of denoise techniques and a shadows/highlights image adjustment. Once complete I brought back the color lost to lucis with increasing saturation and a bit of offset to darken the blacks and then lightly ran a high-pass filter over the whole image minus the blue sky.
