North Catamount Reservoir: Drinking Water For Colorado Springs
North Catamount Reservoir as seen from the Pike's Peak Toll Road is almost like viewing an aerial shot.
Catamount is among a group of reservoirs ringing Pike's Peak flank that are responsible for a fair chunk of Colorado Springs drinking water. We are so lucky in Colorado to have such tasty fresh water to drink!
You can see some of the small towns along Highway 24 in the distant background such as historic Green Mountain Falls and Woodland Park.
