Northern Cardinal in Palo Verde

This photo combines two of my favorite hallmarks of SE Arizona: great birding and the wonderful Palo Verde tree. SE AZ is truly one of the best birding locations in the world, particularly in the coming weeks as more migrants, such as Elegant Trogan, begin to arrive. Northern Cardinal is a year-round resident.
