Sandhill Crane Isolation
One day while exploring Bosque del Apache NWR in New Mexico we had a close encounter with a Sandhill Crane ( http://www.birds.cornell.edu/AllAboutBirds/BirdGuide/Sandhill_Crane.html ) with just exceptional light and good working distance, an opportunity too good to pass up. So I threw a beanbag on the window and went to town.
When we got home I found the road behind the crane as somewhat distracting and held off converting the NEF (raw image). But now I am back to finding the light and clarity irresistible and decided to play with the image, feel free to let me know if you think the bit of road in the bokeh is distracting.
