This is Box Elder Creek at the former Lowry Bombing and Gunnery Range ( http://www.flbgr.org/ ) east of Denver, CO near Watkins. Since this is adjacent to the Denver metro area there is a lot of interest and controversy over future management plans for this piece of land.
