Found in shortgrass and saltbrush communities, Oenothera harringtonii is a rare endemic species that is globally only found in SE Colorado. See below for more images of this rare gem of a wildflower. All of these images were taken while I was doing rare plant surveys looking for this species among others. There are just over 50 documented occurrences worldwide in total for Arkansas Valley Evening Primrose, with only 15 known to be of good viability.
