But it is possible. When we bought these at a local plant sale the tag said they would bloom red & thinking hummingbirds we planted them. Then they bloomed this insane shade of indigo blue late summer in August. Winning! ;-))) Happy Floral Friday! Shot Notes: These are some fairly tiny flowers, note the mosquito on the top left of the photo for scale. Used the Nikon 105 macro and R1C1 flash unit. Not often a fan of blacked-out backgrounds for plant closeups, but really liked it against these elegant blooms.
