These bejeweled Western Bluebird beauties were the only pair mixed in with a large flock of Mountain Bluebirds feeding on mountain ash berries. It was an extremely cold day, I have a feeling these berries may have saved their little frosty lives. And since everyone always asks, Western Bluebirds often do mate for life and as seen here, pairs can remain together between breeding seasons.
