Exploring the Night: Astrophotography and Nocturnal Visions
Moonshine Falls in the Laramie Foothills
There was still a bit of haze from the California fires around giving the moon an almost golden color vs. the lunar eclipse red it was earlier. These are actually human-made falls that resulted from a blown out water impoundment in the area. Nonetheless, it makes for an enchanting moonlit scene.
Shot Info: Same location/night as the previous self-portrait. No light-painting, the sky is 1 exposure, whereas the foreground is an HDR/natural frame composite. I rarely do HDR at night, but I thought it worked here.
