Exploring the Night: Astrophotography and Nocturnal Visions
Milky Way Meets Moon on Kebler Pass
Send me to one of the largest aspen forests in the world at peak fall color and what do I post first? Such a huge backlog right now, I am sure there will be some fall color shots as well.
I want to dedicate this image to my friend Kevin who passed on this past week completely unexpectedly. He was under 40 years old. To all of my friends-- please live every second to the very best of your abilities as if it might be your last. Or as Warren Zevon was fond of saying, "enjoy every sandwhich."
Shot Notes: one frame with not a lot of special stuff in post. The back mountain is illuminated by a rising near full moon that has not yet hit the foreground. Speaking of my words above, only a very short time frame existed to take this image. A moment later and it was a totally different shot.
