I was amazed when this jet lined up to pass perfectly over Double Arch (maybe my favorite arch at the park). I think shots like this work in part because they are in the moment, a bit of non-repeatable serendipity as it were.
Shot Notes: Processed in Nik Silver Efex 2. The Tokina 11-16 continues to please, even on FX! I normally use it on my D700 as a 16 mm prime, but tried it at 15 mm on this one to use the increased field of view. There of course was some vignetting in the corners, but to my amazement using distortion correction pretty much cropped out the vignetting, so in some ways I now view this lens even usable to 15 mm in a pinch on FX (in FX mode). Yay! ;-)
