The view at Rocky Mountain National Park from the start of the "Many Parks Curve" looking north. The almost sunrise-like color over the Mummy Mountains comes from the light pollution generated along Colorado's Front Range.
Shot Notes: I was surprised by how strong of a mark the light pollution makes at high ISO this far in the park. I decided to try and work with the glow here on this night with basically no moonlight. Of course, this was ridiculously high ISO for fun which I am sure helps make the light pollution more pronounced: 3200 +1EV ISO, F/2.8, 30 seconds at 11mm. For me on this shot for whatever reason the noise doesn't bother me after dealing with it in post. Some foreground detail is smeared, but it adds to the fantasia attitude this has going on for me.
